Yeah the Hazelton Boys in Blue were AWESOME.

Hazleton patrolman Jerry Tray closed in on a white Acura traveling near Wyoming and Oak streets Friday evening.
Within minutes, six Hazleton police and Luzerne County Sheriff’s Department cruisers assisted him.

OOO what was it? The police were increasing their presense in the city. And had help from the county… but you had to see it. My wife passed one of the stops.
6 Crusiers, 2 K9 units for a traffice stop…

Yeah you had to be there!

The UN is THINKING (i know the UN thinking about something besides bribes) about allowing peace keepers to actually fire their weapons in case they need to…

I start from the premise that there is already a substantial portion of the electorate that tends to vote GOP because they feel that Bush has “kept us safe,” and that the Republicans do a better job combating terrorism.

If an attack occurred just before the elections, I have to think that at least a few of the voters who persist in this “Bush has kept us safe” thinking would realize the fallacy they have been under.

If 5% of the “he’s kept us safe” revise their thinking enough to vote Democrat, well, then, the Dems could recapture the House and the Senate

If an attack happend to Russel Shaw or his family and he had a choice of people to elect. Would he choose the ones who would KICK THE ASS of the people who did the attacks, threatened to attack and supported the ideals behind the attacks OR people who would like to sit down and talk about feelings?
NOW we come to the reasons

• Save hundreds of thousands of American lives by enacting universal health care;Like Hillary tried? NO WAY
• Save untold numbers of lives by pushing for cleaner air standards that would greatly reduce heart and lung diseases;Thats right shut off the volcanoes and cows!
• More enthusiastically address the need for mass transit, the greater availability of which would surely cut highway deaths; Russel what do YOU drive?
• Enact meaningful gun control legislation that would reduce crime and cut fatalities by thousands a year;Besides what is being done and is WORKING?
• Fund stem cell research that could result in cures saving millions of lives;Ok good point but still dangerous slope better to go cautiously
• Boost the minimum wage, helping to cut down on poverty which helps spawn violent crime and the deaths that spring from those acts; Poor are not kept poor by lack of opportunity but drive! MANY mininimum wage jobs are from small businesses which make up most of our economy you want to put the mom and pops out of business?
• Be less inclined to launch foolish wars, absence of which would save thousands of soldiers’ lives- and quite likely moderate the likelihood of further terror acts. What did we attack to get 9/11?

Nagin yes the mayor of New Orleans. I wonder if when it’s rebuild will it be New New Orleans? Basically said Whitey Ain’t Welcome in the city. And the NY should fix the big HOLE IN THE GROUND

Ok the last part is kinda right… not that anybody should help based on race. But you can see how MUCH he cares.

Previous hurricanes evacuations in New Orleans were always voluntary, because so many people don’t have the means of getting out. Some are too poor and there is always a French Quarter full of tourists who get caught.

Wait let me get this straight. BECAUSE you don’t have a way to get them out (aside from the hundreds of school busses, and public transit busses), you won’t tell them to leave? WOW

Now for the BIG HOLE. Granted it’s mired in political CRAP. But they didn’t have ANY warning, and rebuilding something of that nature is HUGE not only physically but emotionally. The human tradgedy in New Orleans COULD have been reduced and even prevented HAD Nagin ORDERED the evactuation and used the buses he had. They had a plan why not use it?

Speaking of which… Why is it that people on MySpace have to have pages that not only have BAD CSS… BAD Colors… but add sound and VIDEO… to them… Web design is like nuclear physics… you can do A LOT and the results can be devastating!

HTML CSS Javascript are like a hammer… you can build a house… or use it to make a statue…. or just SMASH SOMEONES SKULL IN….

Oh for the days of black times roman, blue links and NO ANIMATED GRAPHICS…

It just makes my job harder… because clients feel that because they can make a webpage in 3 seconds.  (The quality of which my 5yo can match) that building them a REAL website should be just as fast… its like the patient telling the surgeon gee could you hurry up I’ve got more important things to do…

Yes this is a rant.. but I get tired of people thinking my job is easy because they threw up (or vomited up) a few pages.  Plus they never get to see the elegance of a great site using Smarty or the way things can fall together when the backend design is so modular that additional features are a snap. Even my cow orkers don’t understand that stuff… oh well I guess being this smart has it’s drawbacks
